About Us
About us hmmm....... Well my name is (Ace)Yer Thao, I prefer to be called Ace though. I breed/own cockatiels with my older brother Bee Thor. We are located in St. Paul, MN and have just about ten years of experience in breeding cockatiels. It started back 1996 when my older brother, Bee, bought me and my younger brother our first cockatiel. Then we on to breeding in 1998 with a whiteface pair. Lots of Albinos that weren't bald. But sold them all not knowing it was a trait that was desired at the time. In 2000 I think when we started to getting to breeding Cockatiels for showing, we joined the American Cockatiels Society. Our line consist of mainly Pam Holmer and Keith Jennings the two top breeder/exihibitors in the midwest. We went to our show in 2002 with 4 shows that weekend with one of our bird Coco a big Cinnimon male wieghing 180grams at his biggest placing top novice for two of the four and second for the other two and pointing in the shows. We still have him but sadly he has not produced anything for us. Due to us always condtioning him for showing then him have a slight stroke. We knew we had a lot work to do before we showed again. We later joined the National Cockatiel Society and exhibited in 2006 with a Pearl Pied hen(very flashy hen) took third place in top bench. Finally in 2008 was our year with the ACS Specialty Show in Kansas City, Missouri. close enough for us to drive. We took six birds to the show 5 were half or full siblings and a nephew so they were all related 3 pied full brothers,half sibling to Normal male and cinnimon hen who are full siblings.There was two shows that day with two of the pied brothers taking best in show.We are members of both ACS and NCS.
